Student Council
Our student council here at Brookside is made up of our president, vice president, and 1-2 representatives from each grade level.
What we do: - Organize fundraisers
- Organized some school activities (i.e. door decorating contests)
- Plan/decorate for theme dances and do dance sign up
- Run student newspaper
- Inform student body of upcoming school events
What we have done: - Organized Halloween events
- Organized Christmas fundraisers for families in our community and for our school
- With other student participation donated and counted non-perishable food items for community food bank
- Made the decision to have a yearbook
What we are doing: - Working on our yearbook
- Planning next dances
- Planning future school fundraisers
- Planning future school activities
**Student council has a suggestion box in the office that is used for:
- Newspaper name suggestions
-“Ask Liz” questions for newspaper
- Favourite quotes for newspaper
-Any ideas or suggestions for student council
